In the first figure the electron spectrometer ELS instrument appears on the left, ion mass spectrometer IMS at the center and ion beam spectrometer IBS on the right. The high voltage units HVU are between the IBS hemisphere and IMS cylinder. The data processing unit DPU is a box below the spectrometers, and actuator is below the DPU. A lot of wires can be seen around the instrument.

In the second figure the ELS and IMS cylinders from the back.

In third figure the IBS is on the very left. The bottom of the IMS cylinder is in the center of the figure.

In the fourth and the last figure IBS hemisphere is on the left. The HVU box is just between the IBS hemisphere and IMS bottom.

In the lower figure red lines shows the electron field of view of the ELS instrument. The blue lines shows the corresponding ion field of view of the IMS and IBS. Note that in IBS only central fan is show using several lines while the side fans are marked using only single lines.

See also sketch of the instrument.
